YWCA to Host Free Breakfast on April 24 – Postponed Due to Weather

April 20, 2007 – The Young Women's Christian Association will join many YWCAs around the world to celebrate World YWCA Day with a 24-hour Round the World Breakfast on Tuesday, April 24. The YWCA of the Virgin Islands will host a free breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m., at the Emancipation Gardens. They will serve light breakfast fare of dumb bread, butter bread, pick-up saltfish, tuna, juice, coffee and bush tea. This year's theme is Honoring Women Leaders. All those who attend are asked to put the name of one woman who has impacted their lives on the scroll that will be on display in the garden.
For more than 150 years the organization has been empowering dedicated, courageous women leaders around the world. They will provide brochures and other material to familiarize the community with their cause and their impact on the world.
