World AIDS Day Events
Thursday, Dec. 1: On St. Thomas, World AIDS Day annual Candlelight Vigil, Prayer and Healing Ceremony in Emancipation Gardens from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Winning essay will be announced and then read by the youth who wrote it.
Thursday, Dec. 1: On St. John, World AIDS Day Interdenominational Candlelight Vigil at Nazareth Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. Other events are still being finalized.
There will be a territory-wide moment of silence during the Candlelight Vigils on each island, as well as on participating local radio stations, to remember those lost to AIDS.
