June 6, 2004 – The V. I. Housing Authority is accepting registrations for its annual Youth Summer Program available to public housing residents, between the ages of seven and 13. The program starts on July 6 and ends on Aug. 6. Daily hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the following communities:
Paul M. Pearson Gardens; H.H. Bergs Home; Oswald Harris Court; Michael J. Kirwan Terrace; Knolls at Contant; Estate Tutu Hi-Rise Community – University of the Virgin Islands; and Estate Bovoni – Weed and Seed
This program will provide participants with five weeks of educational enrichment, introduction to computer literacy, arts and crafts, steel pan clinic and field trips.
Registration forms can be obtained from the housing manager's office in the communities. Registration fee is $20 per child, payable to the V.I. Housing Authority.
Space is limited and registration forms will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Registration deadline is. June 18. For information, contact the community services specialist, or Jennifer Lettsome-Tuckett, resident services Supervisor, at 715-7396.
