FELLOW OFFICER REMEMBERS CHAPMAN

Dear Source,
My deepest condolences to the family of my good friend Police Officer Cuthbert Chapman. I am deeply saddened with this terrible tragedy.
My name is Edgardo L. Ojeda, and I served with officer Chapman for approximately eight years. I knew him well. He was an outstanding officer and patriot. The V. I. Police Department and the St. Croix community have lost a great asset. It is in a time when my island, our island, needs people like Chapman the most.
I currently reside In Miami, Fla, but I always keep abreast of what is going on in the Virgin Islands, especially St. Croix, which is, and always will be my home.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage the people of the Virgin Islands to regain control of our islands by giving Police Commissioner Elton Lewis and the men and women of the Virgin Islands Police Department your full and undivided support. The Community is our first line of defense.

Edgardo L.Ojeda
Former Police officer
Virgin Islands
