GED Testing Dates Announced for 2013, New Series Goes Online 2014

A new GED test series will go online starting January 2014. Individuals who began taking the GED 2002 series are encouraged to register to complete the testing to avoid starting over with the new series, according to a press release from State Director of the State Office of Career-Technical and Adult Education Eduardo Corniero.
First time test-takers are also reminded that they should register by the end of 2013 in order to take the 2002 series. Only individuals passing the Pre-GED test will be eligible to take the GED exam. Persons must register at least a week in advance to the testing date.
Registration and testing on St. Croix will be conducted at the Adult Education Center located behind the Juanita Gardine Elementary School in Estate Richmond. St. Thomas-St. John residents may register for testing at the Career and Adult Education Center located at Crystal Gade in Charlotte Amalie.
Pre-GED and GED testing for the remainder of 2013 will be administered in the school districts according to the following schedules:
St. Thomas-St. John Pre-GED Testing Dates:
Thursday, July 11 and July 25
Wednesday, July 31
Thursday, Sept. 5 and Sept. 19
Thursday, Nov. 7 and Nov. 21
St. Thomas-St. John GED Testing Dates:
Thursday and Friday, August 8 and 9 (Monday, August 12 repeaters);
Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7 and 8 (Wednesday, Oct. 9 repeaters);
Thursday and Friday, Oct. 17 and 18
Thursday and Friday, Dec. 5 and 6 (Monday, Dec. 9 repeaters)
Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 10 and 11
St. Croix Pre-GED Testing will be held on Thursdays:
July 11 and July 25
Sept. 5 and Sept. 19
Nov. 7 and Nov. 21
St. Croix GED Testing Dates:
Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 6 and 7
Thursday and Friday, Oct. 10 and 11
Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 3 and 4
