IVAN ‘POCKET' RICARDO WILLIAMS BURIAL TUESDAY

Ivan Ricardo Williams, of Grove Place, known to his friends as "Pocket", died Tuesday, Jan. 23 at Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 82.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at St. Luke A.M.E. Church, Grove Place. A viewing will precede the service beginning at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in the veteran's section of Kingshill Cemetery.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Edna Valencia Williams, and his grandson, Jason Dwayne Greenidge.
He is survived by his wife, Elta Parris Williams; daughter, Valerie L. Williams-Greenidge; sons, Austin and Marlon Williams; granddaughters, Jennell Petersen, Jaynae, Jaynesha, and Jaynilah Williams; grandsons, Jahmeel and Jahmoy Williams; great-granddaughter, Jayshana Marie Forde; son-in-law, Raphael Greenidge; daughter-in-law, Faye Martinez; brother-in-law, Stanley Parris; sisters-in-law, Ingerborg Martin, Vera Williams, and Miriam Parris-Ambrose; adopted daughter, Carol Williams; adopted grandchildren, Kimberly, Aisha, and Wilfred Williams Jr.; adopted great-grandson, Tariq Williams; adopted son, Dale Parris; nephews, Russell Simmonds, Roy Williams, Stacey Ambrose, Merville, Dale and Dwight Parris, Ronald Kiture and Elton Joseph.
He is also survived by his nieces, Maureen Guadalupe, Avilda Williams-Gregory, Ernestine Joseph, Yvette Parris, Elinor Wallace, and Phyllis Robertson; special cousins, Albert and Marie Schuster, Adelbert Bryan, Josephine Hector, Maria Brannigan, Evelyn Harley, Leardo Hendrickson, Terencia Maduro, Justina Hansen, and Laureleen Knight; godchildren, Rubio Lang, Maurice Greenidge Sr.; Russell Simmonds, and Stacey Ambrose; special friends, Clarene Henry Sr., Vernon Hurley, Thebold McIntosh, Hyacinth Parris, Carole Scott, Randolph "Computer" Wilson, Curneall Watson, Alphonse and Louise Milliga, and the Aldersville Multi-Purpose Center Family; along with numerous friends and relatives.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of James Memorial Funeral Home.
