Deloris Woodrupp Dies

Deloris Woodrupp The family of the late Deloris Woodrupp, also known as “Winifred” or “Wini,” is saddened to announce her passing on July 29.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy A Woodrup Sr; daughters: Janice Samuel and Leona Woodrupp-Miller; sons: Charles Ferris and Leroy Woodrup Jr.; sisters: Hillarine Joseph, Judith Russell Peters, Gweneth Russell, Selda Russell, Merline Russell, Yvette Russell and Carlis Russell; brothers: Azariah Russell, Billy Russell, “Paps” Russell, Albert Russell, Charles Russell, Alvin Russell, Alex Russell, Dave Russell, Willis Russell and Merv Russell; cousins: Irose Riley, Muriel Stevens, Josephine Acklin and others too numerous to mention; daughters-in-law: Della Ferris and Maria A Woodrup; and son-in-law, Andy Miller.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law: Arnold Woodrupp, Trevor Woodrupp and Wilfred Woodrupp; sister-in-law, Jean Woodrup; stepsons: Warren “Thomas” Woodrup, Wayne “William” Woodrup, Arnold “John” Woodrup and Roy “Peter” Woodrup (aka Ras Jasiah Tafari); grandchildren: Charles “Champ” Ferris III, Leroy Camacho, Tyler Jackson, Vere Samuel, Devon Woodrup, Tachalla “TJ” Ferris, Kareem “Kabu” George, Karena Samuel, Natalie Brooks, Valerise Brooks and Jossette Williams; nieces: Rosalie Joseph-Myers and others too numerous to mention; nephews: Glasworth Joseph, Edmund Browne and others too numerous to mention;
Other survivors include grandniece, Zahara Myers; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and special friends: the Ford family of Estate Anna’s Hope, Dr. Mavis Matthews, the Acevedo family of Anna’s Hope, Krystin Francis and family, the Camacho family of Anna’s Hope, Geraldine Charles and family, Poleta Hutchinson (Maryland) and family, Dorothy Straun and family, members of the Christiansted St. Croix Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as many more friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at James Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a second viewing held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Christiansted Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
