BANKERS VISIT SCHOOLS

April 17, 2002 – JPMorgan Chase Bank employees are on the road this week with their Teach Children to Save program, part of a national initiative aimed at schooling students on their financial ABCs.
After an appearance Monday at the Coral Bay School on St. John, the team is on to Charlotte Amalie High School on St. Thomas on Wednesday and Central High School on St. Croix on Thursday.
The Chase team will teach children about managing their money by saving and budgeting. Presentations will cover topics such as budgeting, the difference between needs and wants, why it's important to save for emergencies, and how interest makes money grow.
Sponsored by the American Bankers Association Education Foundation, the event is observed across the country in April.
