Police Investigating Death of Man Found Unresponsive in Estate Mahogany

An adult male found unresponsive at a residence in the Flamboyant area of Estate Mahogany, St. Croix on Sunday was pronounced dead at the scene, the Virgin Islands Police Department reported.

Police said the 911 Emergency Call Center received the report at about 12:50 p.m. Officers and Emergency Medical Technicians responded and confirmed the man showed no signs of life.

According to the police report, a preliminary investigation revealed no immediate signs of suspicious or foul play. The cause of death is pending findings from the Medical Examiner.

Family members identified the deceased as 50-year-old Michael Springer.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
