Campaign Disclosure Reports Due on June 30

Elections System of the Virgin Islands

Supervisor of Elections, Caroline F. Fawkes reminds candidates and political committees, pursuant to Virgin Islands law, of the June 30 Campaign Disclosure Report. She said, “The June 30, 2018, Disclosure Report must be submitted to the Office of the Supervisor of Elections no later than July 17, 2018.”

Important note: If a candidate or political committee has closed the account, they must submit a bank statement reflecting that fact, and if they have under $500 left in that account during this reporting period, they do not need to submit a report, just a letter stating such.

Campaign Disclosure Reports can be dropped off at the St. Croix Elections Office, Sunny Isle Annex or the St. Thomas-St. John Elections Office, Lockhart Gardens Shopping Center, upstairs from Banco Popular.

Fawkes also states that, “Failure to submit the campaign disclosure report by the deadline will result in candidates and political committees incurring fees. Candidates who are delinquent in submitting their report(s) are subject to having their names published in the local newspapers as delinquent candidates/elected officials.”

In addition, Supervisor Fawkes states, any Candidate interested in obtaining a Campaign Disclosure Report Filing Overview, please contact Supervisor Fawkes at 340-773-1021.
