Man Arrested In January Red Hook Assault

St. Thomas police arrested Isaiah George, 27, on May 12 and charged him with assault in the third degree for allegedly striking another man with a rock, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Police were contacted regarding this assault Jan. 28, the day it occurred. The victim was struck with a rock in his face while on the stairs of the Fat Boys Bar in Red Hook, lost consciousness and was taken to Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment. The victim was treated for a broken nose, six broken teeth, a slight brain injury and a concussion.

After investigating the case, detectives obtained a warrant and arrested George May 12 just a few minutes before 5 p.m. He was held on a $25,000 bail and remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
