Winifred Eugenie Jackson

Winifred Eugenie Jackson, also known as "Winnie," of Estate Whim, Frederiksted, died on Jan. 27, at home. She was 86 years old.

She is survived her by sons: David H. Jackson and Renholdt Jackson Jr.; daughter, Marjorie Jackson-Pickering; grandchildren: Karla, Sharifa, Aba, Elijah, Kareem and Aliya Jackson, Resheemah and Khaleed Pickering; great-grandchildren: Macoyah Barry, Ma’Asia George, Kai LaBorde, Khaliyah Boyd, Elijah Jr., M’Kayla, Elisha and Egypt Jackson, Tsunalia Blyden, Jahzara Pinkley and David Stevens III; adopted sons: Andrew Williams, Stephen W. Holly, Daryl Heywood, David Alexander and David McIntosh; sisters-in-law: Ann L. Jackson, Leona Todman-Ross, Lois Anderson, Veronica Ross and Victoria Anderson; and daughters-in-law: Audrey Batts-Jackson and Joyce Petersen-Jackson. She is also survived by brothers: Ira Ross Jr. and Rueben Maduro; nieces: Diane Ross-Henderson, Muriel T. Ross, Denise Ross-Grampus, Renne Ross, Elinor Ross-Stolard, Monique Larue Maduro, Kym Maduro-Bunn, Nolma Anderson-Simaj, Mary Johansen and Rita Wilson; nephews: Raymond Balooba, Edmond Kamal Ross and Michael Ross, Dane, Shawn, Vern and Quino Maduro, Tony, Richard, Stanford and Wilbur Anderson, Joseph Sackey and Forest Thomas Jr.; cousins: Rupert, Edgar, Raymond, James, Edward, Susanna, Alba, Reginald, Alfredo and Clarissa Ross, Jancie Ross-Grant and Jewel Ross-Brathwaite, Darwin, Elroy Mullgrav and Sylvia Ross-Talbot; close relatives: Magnolia Simpson, Mario and Sheryl Richardson, Tyrone Simpson, Pastor Florence Petersen, the entire Ross family and the many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will be at 9 a.m. and the funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, at the Friedensberg Moravian Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
All arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
