Alice A. Daniels died on Feb. 18, at New York Hospital, in Queens, New York. She was 94 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Canton; sons: Ronald and Lyle Brathwaite; son-in-law, Lorne Bobby Canton; daughter-in-law, Dena Brathwaite; sisters: Camille Larsen and Helen I. Joseph; brothers: Divinci and Hastie (Tino and Reno) Francis; sisters-in-law: Almeade and Alda Francis; cousins: Alton and Hazel O’Reilly, Nils Leevy and Eileen R. Petersen. She is also survived by her life-long friend, Alice Petersen; special friend, Myrtle Adams; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many good friends and other members of the extended family.
A viewing will take place at 11 a.m. and a funeral service at noon on Friday, March 5, at Friedensthal Moravian Church in Christiansted. Interment will follow at the Moravian Cemetery.
