Empowerment Workshop for Parents of Special Needs Children Planned

Feb. 11, 2009 – Head Start will host a Parent Empowerment Workshop from 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at Head Start, Sugar Estate, St. Thomas. The workshop, "Plan the Future of Your Special Needs Student," will be run by Cira Burke, and the presentation and resource materials will be in Spanish. Refreshments will be served.
It is sponsored by Head Start, VI Family Information Network on Disabilities, VI Find, V.I. University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, VIUCEDD, and the State Office of Special Education
