Dec. 2, 2008 The inaugaration of Barack Obama and Joseph Biden Jr. will take place on Jan. 20. Virgin Islanders can take part in this historic event by attending the Virgin Islands Association's (VIA) Pre-Inaugural Ball, set for 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Hilton Springfield Hotel, Springfield, Virginia.
Congresswoman Donna M. Christensen and Governor John P. DeJongh Jr., are invited keynote speakers. Image Band and DJ Jamarich will provide entertainment.
Ticket cost is $75 per person until Jan. 15, and $150 afterwards if space is available.
