Sept. 26, 2007 — Electrical service will be interrupted on sections of feeders 8B, 9B and 10B from 11 p.m. Wednesday until 2:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the V.I. Water and Power Authority.
Line technicians will transfer electrical loads from the Rehelio Hatchette Substation to the new Long Bay Substation.
The scheduled service interruptions are as follows:
From 11 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., service will be interrupted to customers at the Blue Beard’s Castle Hotel complex and along Beltjen Road.
From 1:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., service will be interrupted to customers in Ross Estate, Pollyberg, Lovers Lane, the Lucinda Millin Home, a section of Sugar Estate and surrounding areas. Complete feeder lists are available at viwapa.vi.
Successful completion of this work will mark the end of WAPA’s first phase plan of interconnecting the Randolph Harley Power Plant and phasing electrical loads into the new Long Bay Substation.
