The Committee on Health, chaired by Sen. Douglas Canton Jr., will hold a public hearing Thursday on St. Croix and Wednesday, Feb. 28, on St. Thomas.
Scheduled to testify on St. Croix are governing board members of the Juan Luis Hospital, Acting Health Commissioner Dr. Mavis Matthew and Dr. Herbert Saunders, director of Emergency Medical Services, among others. The hearing begins at 9 a.m. in the Senate Conference Room.
The St. Thomas meeting will hear from Roy L. Schneider Hospital Chief Executive Officer Eugene Woods, Erica McDonald, administrator of the Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center on St. John, and V.I. State Nursing Association President Lynette George, as well as other testifiers. The hearing begins at 9 a.m. in Senate chambers.
