VIPY Partners With Veuve Clicquot to Create Business Woman Award

Veuve Clicquot in conjunction with Virgin Islands Property & Yacht has announced a  new award category in the Virgin Islands Property & Yacht Readers’ Choice Awards 2016:  the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award. Created in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot, the annual Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award champions the success of business women worldwide. The U.S. Virgin Islands, Tortola and British Virgin Islands are now included in the category.
Veuve Clicquot owes its extraordinary reputation to a remarkably modern woman, Madame Clicquot, who was an ambitious visionary and known by her peers as “La Grande Dame de la Champagne.” Married in 1798 to François Clicquot, owner of a champagne business, and widowed at 27, she took control of the company at a time when it was uncommon for a young woman to lead a business. Proud, stubborn and strong-willed, Madame Clicquot always demanded “only one quality, the finest.”
Highly prized and sought after, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is the first international award created specifically to recognise the contribution that women have made to business life and is now regarded as the ‘Oscar’ for female entrepreneurs and business leaders. Consistent with the company’s international scope, the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award is now given in 28 countries, including the British Virgin Islands.

Voting for all categories, including the Business Woman Award, commences June 1 and closes on Sept. 30.
For the first time this year, the VIPY Readers’ Choice Awards, in Association with Veuve Clicquot will extend to the U.S. Virgin Islands; thereby creating the go-to guide of the most talented people, best places and excellent services in the BVI, the U.S.V.I. and the whole of the Virgin Islands.
