GAS SHUT OFF TO BOVONI HOUSING'S BUILDING C

Sept. 11, 2003 — The V.I. Housing Authority and St. Thomas Gas have shut off the gas to Building C in the Estate Bovoni Housing Community, due to severe corrosion of the gas line to that building.
VIHA has made arrangements to have the line repaired. The process involves replacing an extensive length of gas line, and repairs are expected to be completed and service reconnected within two days, said a release issued today.
Until further notice, VIHA requests that residents make alternative, but safe, arrangements for preparation of meals.
