Idalia Constancia Martin Joseph “Sister Jo” of Estate Whim St. Croix and King Garden Bay, Tortola, went to be with her Lord on April 13, 2026.

Sister Jo, as she was affectionately called, joined family who preceded her in death: Parents Exeria George Martin (mother) and Theofield Martin (father), Husband Christian Joseph, Siblings Lilian Callwood, Calvin, Maxwell and Clifford Martin.

Sister Jo is survived by her Children, Cecil A. Joseph, Cyril E. Joseph, Lionel Joseph and Veronica Joseph; grandchildren, Kwanda N. Daniels, Sana Joseph-Smith, Ayanda M. Daniels, Kenya S. David, Chenee Joseph, Michon Joseph, Cecil Joseph, Jr., Takara Joseph, Jamal Joseph, Lia Joseph; great-grandchildren, Stephen J. Daniels, K’nika I. Skepple, Armad Skepple, Bella-Amor Smith, Treyvon S. Belgrave, Omarion Q. Francis, Adnaya T. Daniels, Tevon David, Londyn David, Tiriq David, Kaylin Steeple, La’Kiah Meade, Aliyah Christian, Amira Christian, Kymani Christian, Liam Joseph; great-great-grandchildren, Alina Anduze and Janiala Belgrave; daughter in-laws, Sandra Joseph and Velette Joseph; adopted son, Jomo Meade; adopted grandchildren, Keema Isles and Tyrone (Tinan) David; special friends, Sister Joyce Heyliger and Brother Matthis Nelson. Other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to mention. 

Funeral services for Sister Jo will be held Wednesday, May 6, at Bethel Methodist Church, #57 Estate Two Brothers, Frederiksted. Viewing at 9 a.m., Service at 10 a.m. Internment Frederiksted Cemetery.

Those who wish to join in on the celebration of Sister Jo’s life are asked to wear white or cheery colors. No black.
