Stephen Paul Taylor Dies

Stephen Paul Taylor

Stephen Paul Taylor was born July 28, 1961, to Joseph Bailey Tayor and Laila Olive Brownlow.

He had a gifted ear and was inspired by music at a young age. Stephen’s thirst, passion and knowledge of music continued as an adult. As a world-class sound engineer, he traveled the world working with some of the best. The live show was his passion.

He was married to Robin Jayne Block-Taylor for 30 years. They lived on St Croix, on and off, for some 20 years. He inspired those around him with his knowledge and expertise in his field. He loved music, golf, the ocean, sailing and his dogs Honey and Sophie.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Block-Taylor; son, Julian Taylor; daughters: Leisa Taylor Menchaca and Kihra Sorensen; grandchildren: Eden (7), Lily (5) and Hayden (2); his mother, Laila Proffitt; sisters: Susan Taylor and Carolynne Taylor Illingworth; nieces: Danielle Garber and Jennie Ilingworth; nephew, James Illingworth; and great nephew, Maxwell Fabrizio.

Stephen was amazed by the family he became a part of when he married Robin, and another 3 sisters, 8 nieces and nephews, and a mother-in-law who sparked his intelligence. His island tribe was another miracle he witnessed in his life. He died on Jan. 24, 2024.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schuster’s Crematorium LLC
