Caribbean Posh Weekend to be Held in USVI

Caribbean Posh Weekend to kick off mid-June in USVI. (Submitted flyer)

V.I. native Janette Brin, founder and owner of Caribbean POSH, announced the Caribbean’s leading women’s empowerment event is coming to St.Thomas for the first time on June 16-19.

Caribbean POSH Weekend is a stylish destination event designed for networking, fashion, food, laughter, inspiration, and woman empowerment. Held in the BVI for the past six years, the event’s goal is to bring Caribbean people from the local, regional, and diaspora community together to celebrate the style and vibe of Caribbean women.

Guided by the theme ‘Celebrate the Style and Vibe of Caribbean Women,’ the event is unapologetically highlighting the identity of the Caribbean woman with content geared towards helping women entrepreneurs power up their content, e-commerce, digital marketing, sales skills, and wellness practices.

“We want to provoke discussion about the challenges we face and raise awareness on viable solutions. From building a successful business to contributing successfully to community. All while celebrating Caribbean fashion, style, culture, and beauty,” said Brin

Brin, also inspired by the global pandemic’s impact on small businesses in the Caribbean region, added that this year’s event also kicks off the lifestyle brand’s #ShopCaribbean initiative. This initiative aims to encourage more commerce in the Caribbean by reminding Caribbean people of the importance of supporting Caribbean-made or owned brands.
