On Wednesday, Sept. 21, during the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) Summit, the membership revealed the 2023 election of 15 new board members, 10 alternate members, and an executive committee of five members to represent its regions.

For the second time in a row, Assistant Commissioner Nesha Christian-Hendrickson, who also serves as legal counsel, was selected to be a member of the board of directors to represent Region II, which covers Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“Congratulations again! I know you will continue with strong representation and ensure that the Virgin Islands remain at the forefront,” said Commissioner Gary Molloy.

NASWA is the national organization representing all 50 state workforce agencies, D. C. and U.S. territories. These agencies deliver training, employment, career and business services while administering veteran reemployment, unemployment insurance, and labor market information programs.

The V.I. Department of Labor congratulates Nesha Christian-Hendrickson on her outstanding achievement as she demonstrates her determination and hard work in continuing to assist the territory.
