The V.I. Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation (DSPR) informs the public that the Midre Cummings Park and Playground will remain closed indefinitely for extensive post-storm maintenance and sanitizing. Additional rainfall during the weekend of Oct. 1 has caused a delay in the process.

The DSPR staff is working diligently with the Department of Health to repair the facility and ensure it will be safe for public utilization. Parks and Recreation will keep the community informed on the reopening of Midre Cummings Park.

For more information on the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation facilities, call the office on St. Croix at 773-0160.

Keeping our community informed is our top priority.
