St. Thomas Man Shot in Red Hook

A St. Thomas man was shot in Red Hook early on Saturday morning, police say.

According to the 911 Emergency Call Center, VIPD officers were dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Medical Center at 4:05 a.m., where a friend had transported the victim. 

The victim told the police that he was walking to his vehicle from the former Tootsys Gentlemen’s Club when he heard a single shot and realized he had been shot. He was then transported to the hospital by a friend. He sustained one single gunshot wound to his lower body, according to the police report.

This case is under investigation, and the V.I. Police Department asks anyone with information about this incident to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211, ext. 5577, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at p3tips.com.
