Domestic Dispute Lands Two Men in Jail

 

On Thursday, Nov. 25 at approximately 12:48 p.m., officers from the Richard N. Callwood Command were dispatched to 3A-6 Bonne Esperance to a report of a domestic dispute, according to a news release from the V.I. Police Department.

Upon arrival, the complainant who stated that her brother and uncle were involved in a fight during which her brother punched her uncle and her uncle smashed and destroyed the family phone when she attempted to call the police, according to the release.

At the conclusion of a preliminary investigation, the assigned unit made contact with both defendants, who were still on scene, and subsequently placed both men under arrest.

Terrell A. Thomas was charged with simple assault and Felipe Ayala Jr. was charged with destruction of property, according to the release. No bail was set, per the Domestic Violence Law.
