Estate Whim Man Charged with Domestic Violence/Assault

At 3:42 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, police arrested Wayne A. Jerome, age 23 of Estate Whim, and charged him with second-degree assault, domestic violence, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, Jerome is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and damaging property during a disagreement. Bail was not offered, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws.

Jerome was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.

“There is no excuse for domestic violence,” the police reminded the community in its news release. “If you are a victim of domestic violence, or you are witness to ongoing domestic violence, call our Domestic Violence Unit at 340-778-2211.”
