Body Found in Christiansted Harbor

The body of a white male was found floating in Christiansted Harbor Thursday night, according to the V.I. Police Department.

The identity of the dead person was withheld pending the notification of the next of kin. The victim’s age also was not reported.

According to police, at about 9:09 p.m. Thursday the 911 emergency call center received a report of a body floating in the harbor.

Officers responding to the scene found the body. Emergency medical technicians confirmed there were no vital signs.

The police are continuing to investigate.

  1. That’s it? “Christiansted Harbor”? East, West, by the Boardwalk, by Protestant Cay? Did you not think to ask specific questions? Did anyone even think to ask other questions, such as an estimate as to how long the body had been in the water, clothing, shoes, hair color, ID on the body?
