A man died of gunshot wounds Friday in a shooting at Frenchman’s Bay.
The V.I. Police Department reported that the victim was identified as 28-year-old Elon Frett of St. Thomas. It was the 11th homicide on St. Thomas since the beginning of the year, the 20th in the territory, according to the Source’s homicide list.*
According to a police report issued Sunday morning, at about 7:54 p.m. Friday the 911 emergency call center received a report of shots fired in Frenchman’s Bay.
Arriving at the scene, officers found an unresponsive male later identified as Frett. He appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Emergency medical technicians concluded that he did not have any vital signs.
