Marie L. Daniel died on Nov. 26, at the age of 78.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Geraldo Kitnurse and Esmeralda “Esme” Jackson; cousins: Edith Abraham, Eleanor Jackson-Thomas; nephew, Michael Kitnurse; and brother, Joseph Kitnurse.
She is survived by her children: Michele, Clarence and Craig Daniel; grandchildren: GeVoune Petersen, Cordell Donovan, Chanelle, Charlene, Craig Jr. and Janel Daniel; great grandchildren: Javoune, Jahmarley, Jahkaya, Jaliya, Jahkai, Jlyn, Haile I. Petersen and Madonna Forte-Petersen; siblings: Gwendolyn Donovan-Lawrence née Kitnurse, Patricia Benjamin née Kitnurse, Ione, Marvin, Gilbert, Emile and Solomon Kitnurse; nieces and nephews: Arlene Donovan-Collins, Annette Donovan-Hughes, Monica Kitnurse, Patricia Benjamin, Maurice Donovan Jr. and Marvin Kitnurse Jr.; and daughters-in-law: Joycelyn Daniel and Carmena Ballard-Murphy;
She is also survived by granddaughter-in-law, Nefissia “Sunni” Dickson; first cousins: Careen Brown-Rushefsky, Anna Mae Brown-Comment, Jackie Brown-Hoyt, Debra Brown-Delone, Jonathan “John T” Brown, Donald DeWindt, Marilyn Thibou, Roy, Keith, Rudolph Jackson, Doreen Van Putten, Susan Hewitt, Roy and Leslie Abraham, Eleanor Berg, Jerome Jackson Cecilia Knowles, Antonio Petersen, Jean Kerr, Milton, Carlton, Maureen, Marjorie, Americus Jr., Michael and Merle, Joseph, Anselmo, James, Gerald and Jerry Jackson; special friends: Marcia DeGraff, Pat Thomas, Bettie Newton, Elvy Rogers and Reinaldo Mack.
The first viewing will be held from 5-7 pm., Thursday, Dec. 12, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 13, at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
