Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) met with the Veterans Affairs Administration and local veterans service organizations in her St. Thomas office Monday.

According to a news release from Plaskett’s office, the meeting was held to discuss the VA’s study of the feasibility of establishing health clinics in remote and underserved areas.

The study will evaluate existing health care services in any area of the U.S. where a veteran must travel by air or sea to reach a full service VA health facility. Pertinent information gained from the study will provide a clear picture of the impediments our veterans face in accessing earned health care benefits.
