Nāgi Sekou Jarvis Dies at 21

Nāgi Sekou Jarvis

Nāgi Sekou Jarvis of Estate Castle Burke died on Aug. 28. He was 21 years old.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: La Verne Walcott-Smith and Genevieve Jarvis; uncle, Patmore Weston; and godfather, Ira Cruse.

He is survived by his mother, Keisha T. Smith; father, Arnold “Barney” Jarvis Jr.; grandfather, Arnold Jarvis Sr.; great-grandmother, Hildred Francis; sisters: Martika and Renequa Jarvis; brothers: Taheem, Tajahre and Jhasi Jarvis; nephew: DeAundre Peterson; aunts: Erika Smith-Gumbs, Dana Smith, Denise Weston Henry and Marsella Jarvis; uncles: Greg Gumbs, Casmore “Sonny” Warner and Eon Jarvis; cousins: Kaj Gumbs, S’noija and Sekani Warner, Jahsaim and Ajanika Henry, Rashoy, Rashoya, Dequan and Akim Jarvis, Onika, Rashania and Rashanika Williams, Okera Lee, Akeem Richards and Zoan Weston; and godmothers: Leslie Dickenson-Maduro, Natassia Fenton and Priscilla Williams-Mottley.

He is also survived by godfathers: Keno Walcott, Sylvester Phillip and Gualberto “Chilling” Guzman; god-sisters: Kaela Jarvis, Kelcii Francis, Kamryn Maduro, Shakielah and Kylag Frorup, Né-briah Fenton, Rakishma Guzman and Makayla Walcott; god-brothers: Kaisle Francis and Christopher Vitalis; special family and friends: Shiquan Gomez, Dean Bates and family, Shamari Ventura, Shareem Samuel and family, Walcott family, Dickenson family, Jarvis family, David Joseph and family, the Sports Parks and Recreation family, the Reliable Rentals family, Francis family and Young Family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 21, at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
