Viya, the Virgin Islands’ premier communications and entertainment provider, recently received official notification that two cable TV channels currently on its lineup are being discontinued within the next few weeks.
The Esquire Channel, which is featured in the Variety Pak on Channel 302, will be discontinued, effective June 28. Universal HD, which airs on Channel 490 on the Expanded Package, will cease on July 14.
Vice President of Sales Operations and Cable TV Services Graciela Rivera said, “Viya continues to strive to provide quality entertainment. On occasion, cable TV programmers decide to cancel a particular channel due to the level of interest, viewership and other variables.”
“Although these two channels will no longer be available, we encourage our viewers to stay tuned to Viya for exciting, upcoming channel announcements,” he said.
