A shooting Monday evening at the David Hamilton Jackson Housing Community in Christiansted sent one man to the emergency room, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, at 6:05 p.m. the 911 emergency call center received a report of two people fighting and shooting at each other at the housing community. Then at roughly 6:23 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a report from the Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital’s emergency room that a shooting victim had arrived seeking treatment.

Officers and detectives responded and interviewed the victim, a resident of Estate Morning Star.
