The Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts (CMCA) will hold its first fund-raising gala—a festive brew of holiday party, art exhibit opening, wining and dining and more—from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.
Over 30 St. Croix artists will be featured in “A Celebration of the Arts,” an exhibit of the original paintings and photographs included in CMCA’s Island Art and Soul Calendar 2013 and its new ART Book. The artwork and the two publications will be for sale.
In addition to the art show, the gala evening will include mocko jumbies, performance art, a silent auction, music and dancing, as well as plentiful gourmet food and wine.
Attendees may park in the free lot by the Frederiksted Fort and ride Sweeney’s safari bus to and from the museum. Tickets are $60 per person or $100 per couple if purchased in advance. Call the museum office today to buy your tickets 772-2622.
