Tiny Violet Ferdinand Dies at 80

Tiny Violet Ferdinand
Tiny Violet Ferdinand, age 80, the matriarch of our family, also known as "Mrs. Potter’ or “Mrs. Violet," of Estate Ann’s Hope died on July 1, at her residence.
She is survived by her sons: Utah Potter Sr. and Vernon Potter; daughters: Nyoca Carr, Brenda English and Janice Ferdinand; sisters: Rose and Veronica Murray; grandchildren; Leon, Dion and Neil Carr, Janice Carr-Clarke, Linda and Denise Carr, Kenya and Tchad Potter, Kahlil and Gibran English, Utah Jr., Jeremiah and Olivia Potter; great-grandchildren: Tameka and Tishaun Carr, Dion Jr., and Najjia Carr, Daija and Destiny Little, Delauney Marc, Jamal Ransom, Ayanna Potter, Lee-Ann Watkins, Jerome Clarke, Tarae and Taneil Carr, Kalani English and Tyrique Cupitt; great-great grandchild, Avah Williams; sons-in-law: Jerome Carr and Audie English; daughter-in-law, Maria Potter; niece, Hyacinth Payne; godson, Michael Browne; special friends: Edna Creighton, Mrs. Peter, Ms. Sealey, Ms. Rivera, Cornell Creighton; as well as other friends and family too numerous to mention. Special thanks to Mrs. Mathews, Sonia Spencer and Inez James.
There will be a viewing held at 9:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, July 12, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Christiansted. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
