Supreme Court Holds Ceremony to Admit New Members to V.I. Bar

The Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands will convene its Third Bar Admissions Ceremony and the Seventh Session of its 2010 Term on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the court’s facilities located at No. 161B Crown Bay, St. Thomas, V.I. The Bar Admission Ceremonies will commence at 9:30 a.m., where the following 24 individuals will be admitted to the Virgin Islands Bar:
Kenneth R. Alvis, Theodore Jack Korth, Richard F. Buckley Jr., Renu Seema Kurudiyara Zuleyma, Marie Chapman, Rhea Regina, Lawrence Jamie L. Codjovi, Omeya Salah Leftawe, Sabrina Joy Cohen, Quincy Gerone McRae, Jerome David Crain Jr., Clyde Eugene Murphree, Nizar Amin Dewood, Julian Pardo De Zela, James Alfred Edwards, Lenehn Ning Ricks, Scott James Edwards, Stephen A. Smith, Talib Nadir, Ellison Michen, Marjorie Tah, Samuel Lenard Joseph, Robert Paul Waickowski, Michael Joseph Jurek and Esther Rita Walters.
Thereafter, oral arguments in the following matters will commence promptly at 10 a.m.
1. Edna Santiago v. Virgin Islands Housing Authority, A.B.C. Compounding Company Inc., B.C. Engineering Supplies Inc. and ABC Janitors of St. Croix Inc. (S.CT. Civ. No. 2010-0010)
2. Justin Sonson v. People of the Virgin Islands (S.CT.Crim. No. 2009-0109)
3. The Estate of Martin L. Ludington v. Yosef I. Jaber, et al (S.CT. Civ. No. 2010-0036)
The matter of George R. Simpson v. Myrna Golden, (S.CT. Civ. No. 2010-0011), will be considered without oral argument.
