V.I. Humanities Council Receives NEH Grant

The Virgin Islands Humanities Council is the recipient of a $62,710 grant award from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), according to a press release from the Office of Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen.

NEH grants are highly competitive and involve a rigorous review and selection process to ensure that the best of humanities research, education, preservation and public programs are cultivated.
The council will use the grant award to fund panel discussions, a scholarly publication and a community grant program for the special initiative, “Building Community by Celebrating Diversity.” There is a required $10,000 match.
For more information, contact the V.I. Humanities Council at 714-2368.
