SGVBG Will Hold Second Saturday Workshop

St. George Village Botanical Garden's Second Saturday program presents "Bumble Bees, Birds and Bats, Oh My!" from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 13, in the Bodine Visitors' Center
Eighty percent of our flowering plants and one third of our human food crops depend on pollinators. Focusing on three local and important pollinators, participants will explore the inside of a beehive, watch hummingbirds at work and take a peak at a colony of bats while learning what a pollinator is and how we depend on them. Make sure to bee there for the fun, and to make your own hummingbird feeder to take home.
Reservations are essential as the number of participants is limited; call 692-2874 to sign up. There is a $5 per person fee for the workshop. Children ages 6 and older are invited and must be accompanied by an adult.
