HOVENSA Has Blood Drive for Employees

Nov. 15, 2005 – The Medical Unit of HOVENSA L.L.C. will conduct a blood drive on Nov. 16, for their employees and employees of the contractors that provide services in the company's refinery. The staff of the medical unit will be assisted by staff from the St. Croix Community Blood Bank and the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital, as well as volunteers. In the last drive, 115 individuals donated blood, said a press release from HOVENSA.
HOVENSA Chief Medical Consultant, Dr. Cora Christian stated, "Thanksgiving is about giving and thanking our family and friends. With more than half of us needing blood in our life time, what better way to give thanks than by giving blood?" The blood drives have become a tradition of generosity by the men and women who work in the refinery.
