Quelbe Traveling Exhibit and Colloquium 2005

Quelbe Traveling Exhibit and Colloquium 2005
The Quelbe Traveling Exhibit and Colloquium 2005 will travel to all three islands with historic photographs, wire sculptures, a panel discussion that includes quelbe musicians, a folklorist and a live band. The exhibit will be used as an educational tool to increase local interest in quelbe music.
The traveling exhibit will be able to move from school to school after it has been shown on all three islands, passing the torch from one generation to another with this "official traditional music of the Virgin Islands."
The exhibit will be at the St. John School of the Arts from 1 – 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10. Koko and The Sunshine Band will play.
