Medical Explorers Graduate Thursday

June 14, 2005 – Seventeen Charlotte Amalie High School students will be honored this Thursday for finishing an 11-week Medical Explorers Program at Schneider Regional Medical Center. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2005 at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital Sun Room.
The second annual Medical Explorers Program exposes students to different opportunities in the healthcare profession. The program is sponsored by Schneider Regional Medical Center in conjunction with the V.I. Boy Scouts of America and CAHS.
The Medical Explorers Program was established in 2004 by Schneider Regional President and CEO Rodney E. Miller Sr. as a way for high school students to see the varied opportunities available in a community hospital. Through the influence and mentoring of qualified healthcare professionals, the students have gained valuable insights into the healthcare industry.
"This program also provides a venue for the students to network and develop professional relationships with others that may broaden their future employment opportunities," Mr. Miller said.
