Anything Goes II Event Kicks off 2005 Cycling Season

Feb. 7, 2005 – The 2005 cycling season resumes on Sunday, Feb. 13, with the Anything Goes II event. The race will start at 7 a.m. at the Fort in Frederiksted and finish on the North Shore Road at Rust op Twist. As in all Anything Goes races, the choice of the race route is open to each competitor, a release said.
From the start, each rider must first travel north to the Clover Crest gate, which will open up various possibilities for mountain bikers. For the first time in the Anything Goes series, there will be two categories, road and mountain bike. Mountain bikers must ride on some part of Scenic Drive to qualify.
Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. and helmets are required. Call 773-8456 for more information.
