Friends Hosts 2nd Annual Family BBQ

Dec. 7, 2004 – The Friends of Virgin Islands National Park will host the 2nd Annual Friends Family BBQ. Join us for this old-time favorite community get-together. There will be something for every member of the family to enjoy, including food, music, dancing,
This new improved event has some other new twists that include fun games and activities for our younger Friends, and craft demonstrations for kids of all ages. National Park Service rangers will be on hand to talk about the Park, and lead the kids in a game of "Marine Jeopardy". Paradise People will keep us dancing all afternoon, and Miss Enid will keep us well fed as she cooks up another smorgasbord of traditional foods… so bring your appetite and your dancing flip flops!
"We enjoy hosting this event because it’s a fun party to celebrate the Park and learn about its rich natural and cultural resources", said Friends president Joe Kessler.
To make it easier for everyone to join in the fun, the event has been moved into the middle of town. Plan to join us on Sunday, December 12, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Winston Wells Ball Field in Cruz Bay on St. John.
