The University of the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center is conducting a series of seminars entitled Checklist for Starting a Business. The topics are:
-Forms of Ownership, Monday, Nov. 15.
-Writing a Business Plan – Part I – Narrative, Tuesday, Nov. 16.
-Writing a Business Plan – Part II – Financials, Thursday, Nov. 18.
-Business Registrations, Monday, Nov. 29.
-Business Licenses and Zoning, Tuesday, Nov. 30.
-Tax Compliance and Recordkeeping, Thursday, Dec. 2.
The seminars are from 6–8 p.m. at the UVI Small Business Development Center Training Facility, 2nd Floor, East Wing, Nisky Center, Suite 720, St. Thomas.
Admission is $20 for each seminar. Pre-register and receive a 25 percent discount on each seminar. Students with I.D. (UVI and high school) and UVI employees are admitted free; however, they MUST pre-register.
Attend the entire series and or come to just one or two of the sessions that interest you. A certificate and a special item will be awarded to each person who attends the entire series.
