Aug. 19, 2004 – There will be viewing and funeral on St. Thomas Friday, Aug. 20, and Saturday on Tortola, for Vitalia G. Forbes-Turnbull, who died at her residence in Contant at the age of 87.
Viewing on St. Thomas will be from 8 to 9 a.m. at Christchurch Methodist, with the funeral following at 9 a.m. Viewing on Tortola will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at Zion Hill Methodist Church, with service following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Hodge family cemetery on Frenchman's Key.
Also known as "Gertrude," she is survived by her son, Cecil O. Forbes Sr.; stepsons, Gov. Charles W. Turnbull, Donald Turnbull and Vernal Turnbull; stepdaughters, Mavis Richards and Doris Wells; sisters, Vashti Boynes and Leona Escalera; brothers, Vernon and Wendel Parson; daughter-in-law, Lynnette Penn Forbes; brother-in-law, Reuben Branca; sister-in-law, Erin Parson, and many other relatives and friends.
