Two Education Conferences Are Set Week of Aug. 16

Aug. 14, 2004 – Two conferences for St. Croix District educators, sponsored by the V.I. Education Department, will be held the week beginning Aug. 16.
A five-day conference for previously registered elementary school teachers on Research Based Reading will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Holy Ghost Deliverance Gymnasium in Estate Barren Spot.
Junior and senior high school language arts teachers will participate in a two-day conference from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the St. Croix Educational Complex High School. This conference will also focus on research based reading, a release said.
