Bovoni Water Ready for Customers

June 9, 2004 – The V. I. Water and Power Authority (WAPA) is accepting applications for connection to the Bovoni Water Distribution System. WAPA plans to activate this system in July.
Bovoni residents who want to receive potable water should apply at the Authority’s customer services office at No 18 Sub Base. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Applicants are advised that to minimize the cost of installation they not install the plumbing for the new water service until the Authority’s water distribution personnel have visited the customer and identified the location of the service connection.
The $368,300 Bovoni Water System Project was funded by $243,300 from WAPA’s funding and $125,000 from a Community Block Grant.
