Profits? Any power company providing a serve will have no competition. So there is no way their will be a power company that is not a public utility.
It can only get better with privatization. This editorial is meant to detract from this option. Once a private company comes in, they can be held accountable like all private companies stateside are. Where as, no accountability thus far has been provided. Except, a donkey ran into a pole, it's raining, we are still trying to figure it out..etc... Incompetence and theft is rewarded with prison time. With privatization comes competition. With competition comes better pricing and better customer service.
