The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority advises the community that a sewer line (lateral) installation is underway today, Wednesday, July 8, at #70 Peter’s Rest, Christiansted.
During the installation work, vehicular traffic, including service vehicles traveling along Queen Mary Highway and Peter’s Rest Road, will be diverted as directed by VIWMA Enforcement Officers.
Pedestrian traffic will be limited to the sidewalk on the west side of Queen Mary Highway, from the VIWMA Peter’s Rest Convenience Center to the Cost-U-Less/Plaza Extra East area.
VIWMA apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks the community for its patience and cooperation as we continue improving the Territory’s wastewater infrastructure.
